The Dearest Place - Week 4

The role of the church is to make disciples, but we can't make anyone be serious about maturation. What we can do is come alongside of you and serve you by offering a place for gospel-centered worship and venues for gospel-centered community. Our prayer is that each of us would grow and seek ways to get involved in gospel-centered service. As a result we will see gospel-centered multiplication as God builds his church and draws more people to the Dearest Place.

The Dearest Place - Week 3

The dearest place on earth is an imperfect church made up of people from different backgrounds of all sorts who have been brought together by the blood of Jesus Christ. Each of us is uniquely wired by God, so that we all bring different personalities and skills to the church body. Each of us is uniquely placed by God as well, and we are a part of this church to help full God's purpose for the church- to make disciples through our personal lives and through the life of our church body.

The Dearest Place - Week 2

We all come to our church gathering with legitimate hurts and struggles. Regardless of where you find yourself in life, the church and her role in your life has everything to do with where you are at right now. Anyone who has put themselves out there with a group of Christians knows the impact that the church body can have on your life. God's covenant relationship with the church is the model that we use as Christians for how we relate to one another. Because of that, God’s tangible love is most often manifested to us through the saints of His church.

The Dearest Place - Week 1

The church is not an institution for perfect people. It is a sanctuary for sinners saved by grace, a nursery for God's sweet children to be nurtured and grow strong. It is the fold for Christ's sheep and the home for Christ's family. The church is the dearest place on Earth.

Jonah the Castaway - Week 4

As we wrap up this study of Jonah we look at the prophet's response to the events that took place in chapter 3 in Nineveh, when the whole city repented of their sin. Despite being God's messenger, Jonah's rebellious heart is exposed again as he struggles to accept God's forgiveness of the Ninevites. How do we respond when God sends us to reach out to people who we may not think deserve God's grace?

Jonah the Castaway - Week 2

Last week Jonah was swallowed by a great fish after running from God. This week the prophet has famously spent three days and nights in that great fish's belly, and has finally seen the error of his ways. Because of his idolatry and the futility of life without God, he repents of his sin and finds forgiveness from God, because salvation belongs to the Lord.
